OUR MINISTRIES
Daily Bread Soup Kitchen
Services the Hill and surrounding neighborhoods by providing a hot meal and clothing to those in need every Wednesday of the month.
Missionaries
Serves as an outreach ministry who tasks include but are not limited to visiting the sick, feeding the hungry, and sheltering the homeless.
Sunday school/DCYF
Provides educational training based off of scriptures from the Holy Bible (KJV) to youth and adults. In 1963, the D.C.Y.F. of Thomas Chapel was organized by Sister MaeNeal Lucky and Elder L.T. Thomas. Also known as Disciples of Christ Youth Fellowship particpates in a variety of activities such as poster contest, Tea N Bazaars, Fellowship Day and much more.
Dance Ministry
The Anointed Ones was organized by Monet Jones as another form of Ministry for our youth. They travel throughout the tri-state using their gifts for the Lord.
The Adult Ministry came about after many of the parents of the Anointed Ones expressed their desire to also dance for the Lord. Both groups come together bi-annually for a an absolutely amazing recital.
Youth Ministry
In 1996, the Youth In Action was organized by Trustee Jacqueline Roberts, keeping with the tradition of African American churches, how they continue their historic involvement in self-help efforts. YIA is an after school education and music community outreach program.
G.E.M.S (Girls Entering Maturity Successfully) was established as a way to help and guide teens as they begin to transition into womanhood.
Music
Our music ministry is presently made up of four choirs the Male Chorus, Youth Choir, Gospel Chorus and Young Adults along with a praise and worship team and Mass Choir.
Health Ministry
The Health Ministry provides care to the physical church body. In addition to the Nurses Unit that provides services every Sunday, the Health Ministry also puts on different educational programs and services to the church body.
